AAN: Colombian Police Raid Drug Smuggler's Private Party

 

On Sunday, the 25th of June, Colombian Police conducted a raid on a private residence, formerly a known local resort to residents of the Monteria municipality. With reports that the now owned hospitality center became a hub for parties hosted by a suspected drug smuggler, Rodrigo Guerrero, Colombian National Police and Counter-Narcotics began organizing a portfolio on the individual. Guerrero was found to be the head of organizing private parties to mingle heads of businesses in his newly owned residence. Colombian police confirmed that their suspicions grew after larger purchases grew in frequency. After tip off by one of the party goers to the police indicate that Guerrero was using the parties to smoothen relations between business owners to allow access to their services, resulting in more efficient ways of smuggling narcotics across borders of foreign drug hubs such as Mexico and the United States, the Colombian National Police orchestrated and executed a raid. The raid resulted in a shooting killing the property owner, Guerrero, as well as the multiple deaths of Guerrero's hired security. 

Locals nearby reported that the shooting started late at night, and were woken up by gunfire and explosions. However, notably, no police cars or aircraft were spotted during the raid. This covert hit on the Colombian narcotics ring has been marked as an indication that the Colombian government may be utilizing their Counter Narcotics and Transnational Threats Command (CONAT) more surgically.
